Create assemblage using a variety of found objects and mixed media with artist Meagan J. Meehan.

Meagan J. Meehan is a published author and poet, a produced playwright, cartoonist, stop-motion animator and award-winning abstract artist; she also pens columns for Vocal Media, Medium, Great South Bay Magazine, Blasting News, Entertainment Vine, and Kidskintha.

Meagan holds a Bachelors in English Literature from New York Institute of Technology (NYIT), a Masters of Communication from Marist College, and is presently pursing a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from the University at Buffalo (SUNY). Additionally, she is a fledgling toy and game designer.

Meagan has curated art shows to raise money for charities. She has designed and led numerous workshops including one at the famed Governor’s Island Art Fair. She has participated in many group and solo exhibitions, has won awards for her artwork, and sold pieces internationally. She is also the founder of the “Conscious Perceptionalism” art movement that celebrates artwork that can be turned 360-degrees on a wall.

During this 60 minutes of fun one-good workshop 'Odds and Ends: Making Art with Mixed Materials' participants will create assemblage art with artist Meagan J. Meehan using a variety of found objects and mixed media.
